Frankie Hargreaves; A Love for Artistic Expression
A painter that grew up on a small hog farm in rural Manitoba, Frankie began creating art as soon as she could hold a pencil. Her journey creating art began with Crayola crayons and eventually evolved to more involved mediums such as watercolor and pottery. With over 10 years experience in watercolor and 3 years experience in pottery, watercolor is by far her most favorite medium to use due the unforgivable and unpredictable nature of the medium and the vibrant colors that can be achieved. The subjects of her artwork are heavily inspired by nature and history- anything ranging from dinosaurs, birds, mammals, insects, plants, weather, even realism sketches of renaissance-period statues can be found cluttering her workspace. If you can't find her painting in her studio you can usually find her snuggled up on the couch with her chihuahua Gulliver, dusting her old books, or bird watching on some hiking trails to help keep her inspiration alive and thriving.
