Fantastical, Fantasy, and Fun Collection
The artworks in this category are not rejects but rather oddballs. They don't fit in anywhere else and have come together to form their own unique clique- the Fantastical, Fantasy, and Fun Collection.

Sitka
Concept art of the main character in a children's book I am writing and illustrating-- a wild and free husky named Sitka.

Phrogg
A wizard frog. If I came across this gentleman during an NPC quest I would trust him with my life.

Cordelia Greenbottle
Character art of my half-elf bard, Cordelia Greenbottle.
Cordelia is the name, gambling with weighted dice is the game.

Tom Kitten
The other day a friend of mine gave me some vintage Beatrix Potter books and it reminded me of how much I loved reading The Tale of Tom Kitten when I was a kid. Rereading the short story and seeing one of the illustrations inspired me to paint my own version Tom Kitten based on my friends tuxedo cat named Xiongmeow.

Trees
A fun practice I did of some cute trees. I think I will make some more pieces like this only bigger and better.

Andromeda Galaxy
In Greek mythology, Andromeda is the daughter of the king of Aethiopia, Cepheus, and his wife, Cassiopeia. When Queen Cassiopeia boasts that she is more beautiful than the Nereids, Poseidon lashes out in a rage and sends the sea monster Cetus to destroy the coast of Aethiopia as divine punishment. Andromedas mother chains her to a rock as a sacrifice to the monster, thinking she has pulled a fast one on Poseidon. When Poseidon learns that Andromeda has accidentally been killed instead of her mother, he is so wracked with grief that he places her soul in the heavens for all eternity. And thus, the Andromeda Galaxy was born.

Yukon Sky
Inspired by the rich colors seen in the Arctic night sky, Yukon is a province I hope to one day visit.

Tundra Dust
Very few things are more magical than getting to witness clear and vibrant Northern Lights dancing across the night sky. Many people dread the cooler months of the year here in Canada due to the extreme weather conditions but I await winter anxiously, not just for catching sight of the auroras but also for skating and having an excuse to drink hot chocolate.

Fat Gryphon
The Gryphon is a legendary beast from ancient Roman, Greek, Egyptian and Mesopotamian folklore. In Greek mythology, the gryphon lived in the mountainous regions of Hyperborea, a mythic land that existed far to the north where the sun never set, and where the god Apollo resided during the wintertime. These fearsome beasts were said to guard hordes of gold from the river of Plutus and were constantly at war with a race of cyclopses who repeatedly appeared on horseback in order to to steal the griffin's gold.
Usually depicted as a a creature with an eagles head, wings, and talons with a lions body, mane, and tail, I chose to paint mine as a domesticated house pet based off of a barn owl, bluejay, and orange tabby, because lets face it- if gryphons truly did exist we would have domesticated them and bred different traits into them just like dogs and cats.

Patience
When I showed my best friend this painting she said it gave her a funny feeling in her toes. She has a fear of open water because you never know what is lurking beneath.

Redhead
Inspired by a few things. My love of pretty dresses, red hair, and feathers.

Best Friends in Sync
2 best friends out for a stroll in the forest. Currently the redheaded girl featured in a couple paintings are meant only for my portfolio but maybe one day I will write a story for her and her fluffy dog.

Greg
A painting I had done from Over The Garden Wall of Greg. I painted this as a gift for mine and my husbands anniversary; he enjoyed that show a lot and Greg was his favorite character.

Buzzing About
Honeybees are a flying insect native to Africa and over the course of many centuries have become domesticated into the docile and universally loved insects we all recognize. While about 20,000 species of bees exist worldwide, only 8 are recognized as true honeybees. Bees in general are considered to be a vital part of our ecosystems and about 90% of fruit trees such as apples, pears, and cherries are pollinated by bees!

L'hiver
One of the most beautiful art pieces in the L'ouvre, this stone sculpture is one I would love to see in person some day. Few things are as beautiful as the artwork created during the Renaissance period. I drew this picture of this sculpture back in 2018 and I think it is due for a redraw soon!
